If you're looking for a relaxed, palm-lined, sandy beach paradise, then Zanzibar holidays are for you. The best beach in East Africa is on Zanzibar Island, which is off the coast of Tanzania. This island is a haven of simplicity and splendour—with gorgeous blue waters, lush landscapes, an illustrious history, and unique culture.
Spending languid days by the pool, drinking cocktails on the beach, scuba diving in warm waters, or taking a sunset Dhow boat are all perfect ways to unwind during the Zanzibar holidays. This tropical destination is renowned for its spices and magnificent coral reefs, in addition to its medieval Stone Town and its maze of winding alleyways. The waters surrounding the island offer divers fantastic conditions with warm water and decent visibility.
However, Zanzibar holidays are more than just a relaxing beach escape. There is so much more to do— from exploring the history of Stone Town to visiting the Sultan’s palace or the House of Wonders and the Slave Trade market. Visitors can enjoy a tantalizing spice tour, book a dhow sunset cruise, and bargain for some hand-made, original souvenirs. Other Zanzibar tours include swimming with dolphins, visiting and snorkelling around Prison Island and seeing giant tortoises.

Best time for Zanzibar holidays
Since Zanzibar lies just south of the equator, it is not surprising that it is a tropical paradise and a year-round holiday destination. However, the best time to visit Zanzibar is from June to October, during the dry season when the weather is warm and sunny. It can become extremely hot and muggy in February. The rainy season, which lasts from March to May, might interfere with enjoying beach activities and make bike excursions difficult.
